    The Predator is easily one of Ice Cube's better albums. You had songs on here that you made you think deeply, songs that could make you dance, and songs on this album that made you want to repeat the hooks (like track 7 "It Was a Good Day," track 10 "Dirty Mack," and track 14 "Who Got the Camera"). Ice Cube had it up to here with how Blacks were treated by America, which includes the cops and the /5().

    Released in the aftermath of the L.A. riots, The Predator radiates tension. Ice Cube infuses nearly every song, and certainly every interlude, with the hostile mood of the era. Even the album's most laid-back moment, "It Was a Good Day," emits a quiet sense of violent anxiety.     This CD was the best CD that Ice Cube EVER put together! This CD came out after the riots in LA due to the cops that got off after beating Rodney King to hamburger. Ice Cube's "The Predator" seemed to be an ode to that incident! It had so many head-bopping, club-banging songs on it that it isn't funny!/5().

    Mar 11,  · The Predator is a grim album, for sure, more so than anything Ice Cube would ever again record. In fact, the darkness is so pervasive that the wit of previous albums is absolutely gone. Besides the halfhearted wit of "Gangsta's Fairytale, Pt. 2," you won't find any humor here, just tension.
